Media Konrad is part of the Media Konrad Group which on the whole comprises three individual companies: mediakonrad, designkonzept and brainworx. While the group takes over the tasks of an advertising agency it is also behind specifically designed products and their commercialization.

The Project: BabyPhone Pro

One of their own products is a smart baby monitor system. This app developed by us closed a gap in the baby field. With BabyPhone Pro the Apple Watch in combination with an iPhone or an iPad can be turned into a baby monitor.

The sounds of the child can be heard, the baby can be watched via video transmission and if fit gets restless or starts to cry, an audio file can be played by remote control which can either be a calming song or the voice of mum or dad.

The implementation

The app developed for this can be used only for iOS. Altogether a variety of features has been implemented which also a normal baby monitor includes. However, with the BabyPhone Pro you have in addition the following insights and analyses:

• displaying a sound diagram
  
• remote control for brightness of the monitor resp. the flashlight
  
• displaying last sound
  
• live video recording
  
• changing between camera and front camera
  

The transfer from iPhone resp. iPad to the Apple watch occurs via bluetooth.

The benefit

The application substitutes the classic baby monitor offering a modern, flexible and digital solution. The additional functions give the parents more freedoms and digital possibilities to react to sounds of their child.
